Two Big Shows This January: Masquerades Presents PRETTY UGLY and BUZZ WORLD!

As always, January means two shows for Masquerades Youth Theatre Group, with our younger and older students each taking to the stage at the University of Bedfordshire Theatre in their own production, written and created for their age group by our principal Karen Woodcock.
Without further ado, introducing our January 2027 shows......
PRETTY UGLY
New girl, new school, new tryouts... and Whitney is about to learn exactly what it takes to make the squad.
As the fight for a spot at the top heats up, friendships are tested and a few masks start to slip. It's shaping up to be one seriously competitive cheer season.
But when being popular means becoming someone else entirely, how far is Whitney willing to go?

BUZZ WORLD
Something new has crash-landed in Andy's room...
As the toys rally to welcome their newest addition, old loyalties are tested and a few hearts start to wobble. With a yard sale looming and a daring rescue mission on the horizon, it's shaping up to be Andy's most eventful birthday yet.
But when the toys are swept further from home than they ever imagined, can they make it back before Andy notices they're gone?

Both productions are the result of the skills our students build week in, week out in our regular performing arts classes, where children and young people of all ages develop confidence, teamwork and performance skills through drama, dance and musical theatre.
